Spam-ALOT

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The amount of spam in the comments of our site is becoming astronomical. Some articles have over 30 spam posts on them. If you log into your account and go to “Comments” it will show you a list of all comments and their posters, and you can check the box next to comments on your posts to unapprove them, delete them, or report them as spam. I would hope that reporting them as spam will prevent that poster from reposting in the future, but in the mean time please check periodically and remove the spam postings that are on your articles. This will help ensure that our site looks a bit more professional while we attempt to sort out the issue with the spam filters.

Urine Trouble Now!

I remember reading books and watching films where a great accomplishment was achieved through “Blood, Sweat, and Tears”. So maybe something got lost in the English -> Taiwanese translation when a man created a likeness of Iron Man in a toilet using his own blood, urine, and saliva. I’m not making this shit up. Really, when was the last time you were inspired by an experience in the bathroom? I can’t think of a time when I took a huge dump, then sat there and looked at it and thought about using my butt lint to make a tapestry. Well, this idiot decided that instead of getting his kidney infection fixed, he was going to be an artist. Way to go dipshit. When your catheter fills with crude oil, call us. Until then, leave the cool geek stuff to the people who can actually create cool geek stuff, and don’t forget to flush.

Happy Pi day!

Come on gamer/geeks…no one has mentioned that today is pi day? Well I will go ahead and say it. Happy Pi day! Hope everyone had a great 3.14 day. Oh yeah here is something to ponder.

And for your ears and eyes..

The Golden Age of the Comic book Geek

So many times people will say that comic books are just for kids and maybe some are. But I have to say in this era of Hollywood recycling  movie ideas, this is the best time to be a comic book geek.  No doubt you are thrilled that all your favorite stories are coming off the comic and onto the big screen. As a person that never got into comics married to someone that is, I say thank you to all of you. Thank you for knowing so much about the story that when writers leave out giant gaps of important information that they assume we all just “know” you can fill us less clued in people. X-Men 3 for example? Jean? I still don’t get what the hell happened there. Heck, for years I didn’t know that Blade was once a comic. Blow my mind why don’t you. So as the mass amounts of movies continue to crank out, thank you for being there to explain the behind the story need to know facts for us so we can make any sense what so ever out of the rest of the movie.

Prepare Yourselves….

I uploaded some new gameplay footage for Planetside2 in the game section of the website, which can be found here.  This footage is from the Game Developers Conference this week.  It looks awesome, I can’t wait for beta.  By the way, Beta will be most likely in waves but for those that have played Planetside before you will be given priority over those that haven’t.  You just need to go to www.planetside2.com and sign up for the beta (you may need to sign up for a Sony Station ID), and after you do that just log back in and verify your email address again.

If you have never played Planetside before you can also get a priority chance at Beta by purchasing the April issue of PC Gamer, which is on sale now.  You need to buy it at the store (Wal-Mart, Barnes and Noble and the like should have it) and it will come with a beta key code which you can redeem and they will advise you when you are selected.  The cover looks like this.

We are the loyal Terran Republic, the military responsible for keep peace for a thousand years and now we face the mercenary New Conglomerate, self proclaimed freedom fighters but are actually the fodder of the private companies who want to do as they wish and the cult-like Vanu Supremacy who view strange new technology as the answer to everything.  If you choose to play the VS or NC, that is your right, but just realize that in that game you may see yourself on the other side of many of member of Guild1042.  Hope to see you online.
As PS2 comes closer to being released, or at least beta we will provide more info.

Choose-a-Path Attendance

Just want an idea of a number:  If I were to start the choose-a-path story this coming Monday, how many people would read it and vote on it (and expect to do so on a weekly basis)?  If you’re one of the people who wants to read and vote, then please reply to this thread.  If I get 10 replies by Monday the 12th, then I’ll get this show on the road.  If not, then I’ll wait until next month and see where we are.
